Description

Profiled round base with a naturalistic relief. A Neapolitan boy in traditional clothing sits on a tree stump, playing a lute over a discarded jacket. Polychrome painting with gold staffage. Possibly by Hirst, circa 1880. Model number L 138. Several minor restorations; crossed swords mark. Height 20.5 cm.

Provenance: From the estate of a significant North German private collection. Porcelain figurine of a Neapolitan boy. Largely restored. Crossed swords mark. Meissen, circa 1900.
