A fully sculptural figure of a reclining leopard with naturalistic fur markings. Polychrome underglaze painting. Possibly made by Theodor Kärner in 1905. Model number 153. Artist's monogram T.B. or S.B. Old dealer labels from "J.F. Maercklin Stuttgart". Manufacturer's mark. Height 11 cm. Length 25 cm. An early work of modern art—a porcelain figure of a reclining leopard. Artist's monogram. Manufacturer's mark—Nymphenburg. Early 20th century.
