    In the central part, there is a view of the harbor and the ancient fortress in the city of Sudak. To the right of the fortress against the sea background is a three-line inscription in Ukrainian: «SUDAK. 1800 ROKIV», which translates to: «Sudak. 1800 years». To the right of the inscription is a flying seagull, below it is the city's coat of arms.
  • Obverse
    In the central part, within a semicircle of smaller diameter, St. George the Victorious is depicted slaying a dragon with a spear. To his left is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint, to his right is the year of issue 2012. In the upper part, along the edge arc of the coin, divided by the coat of arms of Ukraine, is an inscription in Ukrainian: «NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE». In the lower part, along the edge arc of the coin, a fragment of stone masonry is depicted, with a pattern of leaves and grape clusters in its upper part. Below the masonry is a semicircular two-line inscription: «5 HRYVEN» - 5 Hryvnias.
