Reverse
In the central part is the ancient Bilhorod Fortress. Along the upper edge arc is the name of the city Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in Ukrainian: «БІЛГОРОД-ДНІСТРОВСЬКИЙ». Below the fortress is a two-line inscription: «2500 РОКІВ», meaning: «2500 years». Along the lower edge arc is the city's coat of arms surrounded by six ancient coins: two on the left, four on the right.

In the central part, framed by the outline of the coat of arms of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, is the name of the country in Ukrainian: «УКРАЇНА». Above it is the coat of arms of Ukraine. Above the coat of arms is the year of mintage 2000. Below the country name is the numeral «5», below it a semicircular inscription: «ГРИВЕНЬ» - 5 hryvnias. Below the inscription is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint. The coin's edge features a decorative pattern executed in Greek style.
