A little child with a basket of flowers: a sensitive late Biedermeier canvas

(1821 Vienna - 1895 Perchtoldsdorf) Portrait of a small child with a flower basket. This sensitive, late Biedermeier-style painting depicts a child sitting on a small piece of meadow. Teibler specialized early on in portrait painting. He was a student of porcelain and portrait painter Joseph Kiesling from 1835 to 1841. In addition, since 1837 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Karl Gsellhofer, Anton Petter, Leopold Kupelwieser, and Johann Ender. Oil on canvas; signed and dated 1851. Dimensions: 62 cm x 50 cm. Framed.
