Decorative painting of the Vienna Ringstrasse era, influenced not only by the painter prince Makart, who in the 1870s and 1880s impressed with his magnificent paintings in the tradition of Titian and Rubens, but also by the opulent "Makart style" named after him, which also shaped the bourgeois and aristocratic interiors of his time.
