(1860 St. Pölten - 1917 ibid) Portrait of a young artist in painter's attire, a characterizing and expressive depiction of a man who captivates the viewer. Stöhr worked as a painter, poet, and musician; in 1897, he was one of the founders of the Vienna Secession, together with Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, and Carl Moll. At the same time, he significantly shaped the magazine "Ver Sacrum" and worked programmatically for the artist group. Stöhr left the Secession, among other things, in 1902 for the important 14th exhibition (Beethoven Exhibition), for which he also wrote the preface. Oil on paper, laid down on cardboard. Signed in the upper left corner. Dimensions: 37 cm x 32 cm.
