(From 1880/1899 London - 1945 ibid?) Portrait of a noble English girl, a work characterized by the primarily sought-after portraitist painter who became known for her representative portraits from the British and American upper class as well as the English royal family. Vicaji was a daughter of the British-Indian painter Rustim Vicaji (1857-1934); in 1922, she had her solo exhibition at the Ehrich Galleries in New York, where she showed, among other things, a bust portrait of Queen Alexandra and portraits of other significant personalities such as the British Prime Minister Lloyd George. Oil on canvas; signed (or signature stamp). Minor flaw.
