
(geb. 1941 Lichfield/Staffordshire/England) "Cloud Diptychon". This large-scale work was created in 1988. Neiland is primarily known for his paintings featuring reflections in modern buildings. From 1992 to 2004, he was a member of the Royal Academy. His stylistic use of light and image structures, using a spray gun technique developed at the Royal College of Art, led to Neiland being compared to Georges Braque and Johannes Vermeer. His works have been exhibited in major museums and galleries worldwide, including the Tate Gallery in London.
