"Hanau - Berlin: a composition with wide lines and figurative elements"

(1949 Hanau - 2015 Berlin) Composition with broad ductus, painted and executed in spatula technique, composition consisting of overlapping, differently sized color areas and individual figurative elements. The artist, trained at the Berlin University of the Arts since 1986/87, worked as a freelance painter in Berlin and Liguria. Her works have been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Germany, Europe, and the USA. In the late 1980s, she turned to abstract painting in the tradition of Tachism and Informel. Study trips to the Mediterranean countries, India, Sri Lanka, and Brazil enriched and influenced her forms and visual language, as well as her color palette. Oil on canvas; signed or inscribed on the reverse; 150 cm x 180 cm.
