

(1873 Berlin - 1943 KZ Auschwitz) Impressionistic landscape of rolling hills with blooming meadow. This early work, created in 1900, is by a Jewish artist, whose oeuvre is mostly lost. Fuchs was a student of Franz Skarbina, Walter Leistikow, and Lovis Corinth; from 1918 to 1933, she participated in important art exhibitions in Berlin. In 1933, she emigrated to Paris, where she exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and was a member of the Freien Künstlerbund. Watercolor with whitening on paper, laid down on cardboard. Signed and dated; 24 cm x 32.5 cm. Framed.
