Description

Sterling silver. Above an oval base, the conically expanding body with strongly offset shoulder. The surface is divided by vertical, knifed edges. Bombed hinged lid with gadrooned wooden knob. Deeply set tulle and edged handle made of ebonized wood. Engraved owner's monogram "C" on the visible side. Partially gilded on the inside. Hallmarks, assay marks, and indistinct maker's mark "RJM" (?), date letter "u". Weight approx. 535 g. Height 8.5 cm - 13.5 cm. A small English Sterling silver teapot with sugar bowl.
