79th Cameron Highlander 1814. This statue was created at the Sitzendorf Porcelain Manufacture in Sitzendorf, Thuringia, Germany between 1905 and 1955. Bright colors, strict details, and military attire make it amazingly realistic. An ideal gift for a collector of military figurines!
Sitzendorf: a brief history. The first porcelain manufacture in Sitzendorf was founded by Georg Heinrich Macheleidt in 1760 upon the order of Prince Johann Friedrich von Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. In 1762, upon the prince's orders, the manufacture was moved to Volkstedt. The second factory was opened by Wilhelm Liebmann in 1850 and destroyed.
Size: 27 cm in height. Material: porcelain. Condition: restoration of the legs.
