To improve security and obtain convincing evidence of a buyer's dishonest behavior during a transaction, it is recommended to follow the following general rules at each stage of the transaction: 1. Payment and delivery methods should be convenient for you and accessible to buyers. Use the most popular payment options. Offer shipment insurance and create a shipment inventory. Pay attention to the quality of packaging, especially for fragile items. Discuss insurance, packaging, and labeling with the buyer, especially for glass items. Useful information from Russian Post: - Requirements for the content and packaging of shipments - List of prohibited items for shipment 2. When providing the buyer with payment details, do not send secret codes of bank cards and passport photos. 3. Check the receipt of funds into your account before sending the goods. Pay attention to the accuracy of the transfer amounts. If the buyer pays for the order with multiple transfers and/or the transfer amount(s) do not match what the seller indicated, contact the Payment Service Provider to verify the buyer. These situations are typical of fraudulent schemes. In case of returning the goods, refund the funds to the sender's name or to the same account from which the payment was made. 4. If you sell a high-value collectible material, take additional detailed photos of the item to be sent in advance. Take photos of the packaged shipments from all sides. Keep the photos, postal receipts, and courier waybills until the transaction is successfully completed. This can help the buyer in tracking the shipment at post offices, and the photos can be compared with the buyer's photos and videos in case of disputes. If desired, you can make a video recording of the packaging of the shipments. 5. We remind you that failure to comply with these recommendations may make it difficult or impossible to obtain convincing evidence for the disputing party. In the case of obvious and proven guilt, we may take administrative measures (up to blocking the guilty party's account) and try to influence the resolution of the conflict.
