Lubok poster “Red Rifle. Song” / artist [B. Spassky]. Moscow: Literary-Publishing Department of the Political Administration of the Revolutionary Military Council of the Republic; 8th Typo-Lithography of the Printing Department of M.G.S.N.Kh., [1919]. 64.6×52.2 cm. In good condition, creases, tears, loss of fragments, restoration. “Washed” fragment in the upper right corner of the poster. The poster is trimmed along the edges. On the website of the State Historical Museum, the authorship of the poster is attributed to A. Apsit. “Our unfortunate people have endured much hardship, For centuries bent their backs before the barins, Suffered cruel torments And in despair sang A plaintive song about the cudgel: Hey, cudgel, let’s heave-ho, Hey, green one, it will go by itself, Let’s pull, let’s pull And heave-ho!” Polonsky No. 239, p. 140.
