A review table, compiled according to the system of A. Bertillon." [Russian Empire]: Tip. M.V.D., [1906]. In a frame under glass. 120.6 x 88.7 cm (frame), 110.7 x 79 cm (poster, visible area). In good condition, with traces of folds, tears, loss of minor fragments. The poster has been backed with paper. Alphonse Bertillon (1853–1914) was a French police officer and biometrics researcher who applied the anthropological method of anthropometry in law enforcement, creating an identification system based on physical measurements; he is also the inventor of the mug shot.
