

(1684 Copenhagen – 1762 Berlin) Portrait of Caroline Henriette Kirchheisen, a typical portrait style of Möller, depicting Caroline Henriette Kirchheisen (b. 1747) at a young age. She was the daughter of Carl David Kirchheisen (d. 1770), a military affairs advisor, president of the police, and president of the magistrate in Berlin. Möller is first mentioned as an artist in Germany in 1712, initially in Greifswald, Berlin, and until 1720 in Kassel. In 1723, he created a series of female portraits for the Frederiksberg Palace (the royal family's summer residence), called the "Italian Beauties." In 1724 and 1737, he lived in Vienna, where he painted, among others, Charles VI and Maria Theresa. From 1740/41, he taught drawing at the Danish court to King Frederick IV, and finally returned to Berlin in 1752.
