(1884 Hanover - 1964 Worpswede) In the moor near Worpswede, a flat, dynamically executed landscape sketch by the artist who settled in Worpswede from 1908. He studied under Albert Weisgerber in Munich and, influenced by the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists, especially Paul Cézanne, developed his own style characterized by interconnected color zones. Oil on cardboard. Signed. Approximately 47 cm x 65 cm. Framed.
