(1884 Hanover - 1964 Worpswede) In the marsh near Worpswede, a flat, dynamically executed landscape sketch by an artist who settled in Worpswede in 1908. He studied under Albert Weisgerber in Munich and, influenced by the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists, especially Paul Cézanne, developed his own style characterized by interconnected color areas. Oil on cardboard. Signed. Approximately 47 cm x 65 cm. Framed.
