

(1912 Königsberg / East Prussia - 1988 Wulfsdorf near Lübeck) "Beautiful View" - a late Impressionist urban landscape by Malskat, who received his artistic education at the Art Academy in Königsberg. He became famous for his Gothic-style frescoes in Schleswig Cathedral (1937/38) and in Leipzig's Marienkirche (1948-1951), as well as for his forgeries of works by significant contemporary artists and watercolors in the style of Emil Nolde. The work is executed in gouache on paper, measuring 59.53 cm x 44 cm (excluding the cut-out mat). It is signed and dated (19)59. The work is framed.
