(1924 Altrochlau/Karlsbad – 1985 Munich) "Samurai." The original title of the 1982 work with fine compositional details, created during the mature, late period of Wilds' oeuvre. Wilds began his artistic career only in 1949, first in Kempten, and from 1952 in Munich, due to World War II and Soviet captivity. In his works, he combines abstract and sometimes figurative elements in fantastic, associative compositions. In 1961/62, Wilds received the "Prix suisse peinture abstraite" in Lausanne. Oil or acrylic on canvas; signed and dated (19)82. Signed again on the reverse, titled, and dated 1982. 50 cm x 60 cm. Framed.
