

(1815 Quimper – 1881 Algiers) attributed; Northern French fishing village. Through a vividly depicted figurative composition, a picturesque view is presented with an impressive rendering of light effects. The artist, who studied in Brest and Paris, debuted at the Salon in 1836 and regularly participated in exhibitions from 1840 to 1879.
