Description

Silver. Square plinth with a tubular stand, decorated with a floral form surrounded by tongue-and-groove fluting and a stylized laurel leaf wreath. Smooth, cylindrical column, adorned with a pearl frieze and sharply tapered with a pressed knot. Topped with a relief laurel garland with openwork. Removable tulip-shaped socket with a notched cornice, the edge of which is decorated with a pearl frieze ornament. Marking, tremulous line, marks, preceding letter "G", master Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Kramer (became a master in 1781). Weight about 630 g. Height 23.5 cm. A rare pair of small Neo-Rococo candlesticks from Nuremberg, executed in the Neoclassical style, master Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Kramer (master since 1781).
