A pair of candlesticks

Silver. Nearly square in shape, with a stepped, rising base featuring rounded, cut vertical lines formed by angles. Above a convex base stands a tall, slender, faceted baluster stem with matching patterns. The underside is engraved "i.S." and "I.E.". Signature, tremulous line, hallmark with 12 lots, master Johann Baptist Rüttgers / Röttgers (active around 1700). Weight approx. 770 g. Height 21 cm.
