A pair of candlesticks

Silver. Close to square shape, a stepped ascending foot with rounded, cut-off vertical lines forming angles. Above the convex base, a tall, slender, faceted baluster stem with corresponding patterns. The underside is engraved "i.S." and "I.E.". Signature, tremulous line, marking with 12 lots, master Johann Baptist Rütgers / Röttgers (active around 1700). Weight about 770 g. Height 21 cm.
