Little Baroque footbecker
Description

Silver, fully gilded. A round convex base transitions into a short, deeply indented stem and a widely flaring, slightly conical smooth cup. The base and the bottom of the cup are framed with tongue-shaped gadroons. Below the wide border area, decorated with relief volute-shaped vegetal patterns, the interior is gilded. Workshop, master Johann Philipp Gross (became a master in 1689), Austrian mark, Vienna before 1824. Weight about 110 grams. Height 6.5 cm.
