Description

Luxurious! Original "Tête-à-Tête" Set of two gorgeous crystal wine glasses made of Colored Overlay Crystal, from the world-renowned top global leader in the production of glass and crystalware, the German factory Knittel FAKIRIS, Silesia, Germany, late 1930s. Super Rarity!!! In Superb CONDITION!!! A true find for the genuine collector or connoisseur of crystal!

The Knittel FAKIRIS factory, located in Silesia, got its name from an ancient monastery built at the beginning of the 13th century, near which, in 1826, enterprising Germans purchased two abandoned buildings and opened a factory. By the time of World War I, about 5,000 people were working there, creating ringing wonders in the Art Nouveau style. As a result of the economic depression of the 1930s, the factory lost its growth momentum, underwent massive layoffs of both employees and production areas, retaining only the exclusive production of expensive and top models. After the end of World War II, the factory experienced a new phase of development, but it never regained the scale it had at the beginning of the century. By 1978, it ceased to exist, merging with the Cristal AG concern. Thus, any of its products released in the early and mid-20th century, especially those of high quality and preservation, have automatically become objects of special attention from collectors and crystal enthusiasts, and the value of such items only increases every year. Products from the Knittel FAKIRIS Factory are wonders that continue to delight crystal lovers around the world with their purity and exceptional brilliance.
