Produced by the world-renowned German manufactory NACHTMANN, dating back to the late 1960s. The NACHTMANN factory was founded in Bavaria in 1834 by Michael Nachtmann. In the early 20th century, the factory's workshops moved to Neustadt, where they remain today. In the 1960s-1970s, NACHTMANN became the largest producer of top-quality crystal in Germany. For a long time, the NACHTMANN concern united several subsidiaries, including "Marc Aurel", "Katharinen Hutte", and "Spiegelau". The products of these factories differed in design and minimized lead oxide content in the crystal. In the early 2000s, the product range became significantly more limited. The factory shifted to more economical forms, and interesting items disappeared one by one. In 2004, NACHTMANN Cristal AG shares were bought out by Riedel Glas. Although the factory continues to operate to this day, it has never managed to return to producing the quality it achieved during its peak period. As a result, any of its products from the 1960s-1970s, especially those of high craftsmanship and preservation, have automatically become objects of special interest for collectors and crystal connoisseurs, with their value only increasing year by year.
