Description

A collection of eight medium-sized antique Russian porcelain plates, hand-painted at the M.S. Kuznetsov Partnership factory. The plates are decorated with hand-painted floral and folkloric motifs. The plates bear a green or blue M.S. Kuznetsov Partnership mark, as well as numbers on the reverse side. Approximate dating: late 19th century – early 20th century. The original "Kuznetsov Brothers" factory in Novokharitonovo was founded in 1810. In 1892, M.S. Kuznetsov acquired the well-equipped porcelain factory of Francis Gardner. By the beginning of the 20th century, it had absorbed many small factories and became responsible for almost two-thirds of ceramic and porcelain production in the Russian Empire. It produced goods of such high quality that in 1902 the owner was awarded the title of Court Supplier. Antique and vintage Russian porcelain figurative sculpture, figurines, statues, home items, interior decoration, and collectibles.
