A collection of eight medium-sized antique Russian porcelain plates, hand-painted at the M.S. Kuznetsov Partnership factory. The plates are decorated with hand-painted floral and folkloric motifs. The plates bear a green or blue M.S. Kuznetsov Partnership mark, as well as numbers on the reverse side. Approximate dating: late 19th century – early 20th century. The original "Kuznetsov Brothers" factory in Novokharitonovo was founded in 1810. In 1892, M.S. Kuznetsov acquired the well-equipped porcelain factory of Francis Gardner. By the beginning of the 20th century, it had absorbed many small factories and became responsible for almost two-thirds of ceramic and porcelain production in the Russian Empire. It produced goods of such high quality that in 1902 the owner was awarded the title of Court Supplier.
