

The collection consists of five different antique Russian hand-painted porcelain items from the "Partnership of M.S. Kuznetsov" factory. Two dishes are adorned with hand-painted floral and botanical motifs. The dishes are marked with green ink stamps from the "Partnership of M.S. Kuznetsov" factory and are numbered on the reverse: 373 of 563 and 3 of 452. The collection also includes a milk jug decorated with a gold floral design, a white cup with gold rims, and a white-olive cup with a floral motif and gilding. They are marked with blue or red ink stamps from the "Partnership of M.S. Kuznetsov" factory. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. The original factory, the Kuznetsov Brothers in Novy Kharitonovo, was founded in 1810. In 1892, M.S. Kuznetsov acquired the well-established porcelain factory of Francis Gardner. By the early 20th century, he had absorbed many small factories and soon became responsible for nearly two-thirds of the ceramic and porcelain production in the Russian Empire. They produce items of such high quality that in 1902, the owner was granted the title of court supplier.
