Description

Hand-painted decoration on a porcelain plate from Kuznetsov porcelain, depicting a Russian peasant woman holding a griddle, with a Russian proverb in Cyrillic script around the rim. On the reverse, there is a manufacturer's mark in blue underglaze: Kuznetsov, surmounted by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire with a double-headed eagle. Circa late 19th century.
