Soviet porcelain presentation plate from the Kuznetsov factory, Riga, circa 1939. Round, with a green background and a reserve depicting 17th-century boyar men and women in an urban setting, bordered by gilt Roman numerals XX, the dates 1909-1939, and a monogram, within a gilt rim. The reverse bears a gilt Russian inscription approximating to May 1939. Diameter 14 1/4 inches (36.2 cm). C.
