Description

Soviet porcelain dinner set for six persons from the Russian Embassy in London, second half of the 20th century, Russia, produced by Dulevo, including dinner plates, bowls, salad bowls, side plates, oval serving dishes, butter dishes, and a soup tureen. Each piece is highlighted with gold and decorated with the State Emblem of the Soviet Union, with marks on the reverse. Diameter of dinner plates – 24 cm (34 pieces). Provenance: Acquired from Christopher Martin-Zakheim, owner of Iconastas, who purchased this extensive set directly from the Russian Embassy in Kensington around 1991.
