An oval, centrally painted body with a flat, curved loop on the lid. On both sides of the walls and on the lid there are corresponding curves, decorated with folklore and ribbons, on a light background. Inside them are various so-called "Kauffmann" scenes. In the foreground, a wide architectural landscape with large sailing ships and impressive castle complexes, where European, partially foreign or Eastern merchants are negotiating goods. The inner lid depicts a corresponding scene with merchants and workers among boats, bales, and barrels. The bottom shows a rider against a landscape background. The fine polychrome painting belongs to Johann Georg Heinz. Partially exquisite purple decoration with small figurative scenes. Gilded ornamentation and fittings. Interior wall gilding. Gilt mount. Height 4.4 cm. 6.5 cm x 4.5 cm. See Meissen drug boxes from the 18th century, Röbbig Munich, No. 23; Boucompe-Markowski, porcelain boxes, No. 40. Gilded porcelain box beautifully painted with Kauffmann scenes by J.G. Heinz. Meissen. Circa 1730-1735.
