The allegorical figure
Description

On a square pedestal with a profile stands an upright, laurel-crowned female personification in a white dress and a flower-patterned cloak, holding a palette and brushes in her left hand. Her mouth is covered with a white band tied at the back of her head. Polychrome painting with gold details. Possibly made by Friedrich Elias Meyer. Press number 119. Minor restoration; mark with crossed swords. Height 13 cm. See Berling, Plate 16, numbers 10, 12. Allegorical porcelain figurine of Painting. Slightly restored. Mark with crossed swords. Meissen. Circa 1750–1760.
