Description

The sheep stands on an oval base adorned with plastic flowers and leaves, turned to the right or left. Naturalistic, curly, relief wool with partial brownish spots. Polychrome painting. Possibly the work of Peter Reinicke, 1747. Restored. Collection: sword mark. Height 10.5 cm. Length 9.5 cm - 11 cm. Compare with Albiker, "Porcelain Figurines of the Meissen Chippings," No. 212f. Pair of porcelain sheep figurines. Restored. There are chips. Crossed swords. Meissen. Circa 1750.
