According to Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans, this rectangular photo frame depicts an Eastern woman with dark hair in a light blue setting inspired by Egypt, bordered by a red material covered with golden dots, caring for her birds. The elegant polychromatic image is adorned with golden accents. It is based on a painting by the Belgian artist Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans. The photo frame bears an impression of a scepter and the KPM mark. It is framed with a gilded wooden frame with a black lacquered edge. The size of the plaque is 17.5 cm x 12.5 cm, and the size of the frame is 40.5 cm x 35.5 cm. Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans (1816-1889) is known for his historical paintings and Oriental genre scenes inspired by his travels to Algeria, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. See Thieme-Becker, vol.
