A pair of Art Nouveau style vases with hunting decor.
Description

On a short pedestal, the club-shaped body tapers toward the neck, with a profiled, concavely curved, and ornamented pierced rim. On both sides of the wall, there are large-scale hunting scenes based on medical engravings by Johann Elias Ridinger. The scenes depict hunters on horseback and deer hunting, or hunters with horns and boar hunting, in underglaze blue painting, surrounded by a suggested forest landscape. The form was designed by Otto Voigt in 1911, with model number B 229. It bears the crossed swords mark. The height is 45.5 cm. This is a pair of Art Nouveau porcelain vases with hunting scenes executed in underglaze blue painting. The form was designed by O. Voigt. They bear the crossed swords mark. Made in Meissen around 1911–1923.
