Description

On a profiled round pedestal stands a young gentleman in Biedermeier style, dressed in a black tailcoat. In his right hand, he holds a lorgnette, and in his left—a cane. The polychrome painting is adorned with gold strokes. Possibly the work of Jakob Ungerer, circa 1880–1882. Model number M 133. Restored; crossed swords mark. Height 25 cm. Pair to the figure "Lady with a Fan" (model number M 134). Provenance: from the collection of a significant North German private collector. Porcelain figure of a gentleman with a cane. Restored.
