Rounded, flat shape with a concave center. In the center, a large bouquet of yellow, pink, and red roses, executed in fine, color-shimmering, polychrome painting. Gilded rim. Unglazed base. Marked with "Crossed Swords". Diameter 48 cm. The decor is executed in the traditions of floral painting of Professor Julius Eduard Braunsdorf. J.E. Braunsdorf (1841–1922) revolutionized Meissen floral painting at the end of the 19th century. Moving away from the traditional bouquet style, he adopted a style reminiscent of Impressionism, characterized by free brushstrokes and soft, blurred transitions. Subsequent generations of artists followed Braunsdorf’s style and developed a wide range of variations in Meissen floral painting. Large porcelain wall plate, finely painted with a bouquet of yellow, pink, and red roses in the manner of Professor J.E. Braunsdorf. Marked with "Crossed Swords". Meissen. Circa 1935–1945.
