Along the arc of the left edge of the coin is an olive branch, on the right - an oak branch, which intersect at the bottom and are tied with a bow. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the edges of the rim.
Obverse
In the central part, an inscription in 3 lines in Persian: "شاه قاجار ناصر الدين السلطان", which translates as: "NASER AD-DIN SHAH QAJAR SULTAN". Below - five thousand dinars in Farsi: "پنجهزار دینار". On the left, along the arc of the coin's edge, an olive branch is depicted, on the right - an oak branch, which intersect at the bottom and are tied with a bow.
