In the central part of the reverse is a relief portrait of the scientist, and to the left of it is the so-called 'Kondratyuk Route'—a diagram of a spacecraft's flight to the Moon, its landing on the lunar surface, and return to Earth. Above Y. Kondratyuk's portrait and to its left are stylized images of stars; below the portrait are the dates 1897-1942—the years of the scientist's birth and his death at the front near Moscow. Around the coin's circumference is text: at the top YURIY KONDRATYUK, at the bottom in parentheses (ALEKSANDR SHARGEY).
