In the central part of the reverse is a relief portrait of Bohdan-Ihor Antonych against a floral motif; to the right are the years of his life 1909/1937; below is a semicircular inscription: BOHDAN-IHOR ANTONYCH.

In the upper part of the obverse is the Trident (the small coat of arms of Ukraine); to the left is a semicircular inscription: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE; the coin's year of issue, 2009, is below; in the center is the denomination 2 / HRYVNIAS, flanked diagonally on the right and left by a composition stylistically reflecting the imagery of Antonych's poetry (cosmic on the right, floral on the left); also present is the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
