Reverse
The central part features the denomination — the numeral 1. Below the numeral is the word RUBLE. Below that, a decorative separator in the form of two dots with a diamond-shaped dot between them. Under the separator is the year of issue 1918. Above the numeral is a two-line inscription: РАЗМѢННЫЙ ЗНАКЪ (EXCHANGE TOKEN). On the sides of the central image, left and right, are two compositions of four laurel branches. The rim is decorated with dots.
Obverse
The central part features the Russian emblem of 1917 — a double-headed eagle without crowns, sceptre, or orb in its talons. Under the eagle's tail are the letters 'J.S.', the initials of the engraver Joseph Sadler. Below the initials is one stylized six-pointed star. Around the eagle, along the rim, is the text: АРМАВИРСКОЕ ОТД. ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОГО БАНКА (ARMAVIR BRANCH OF THE STATE BANK). The rim is decorated with dots.
