  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle wear crowns, and a third, larger crown is placed between them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. The rim externally resembles a massive twisted cable (the teeth are angled relative to the field).
