In the center, against the background of the Bolshoi Theatre building, is a dancing ballerina, below her a flower. At the bottom, along the rim, is the inscription 'BOLSHOI THEATRE 1825'.

Slightly below is the denomination, the numeral '3' and below it the word 'RUBLES'. Near the lower edge is the year of issue '1991'.
