Reverse
The central part of the reverse features a relief image of a dancing ballerina. Along the left arc of the coin's edge is the inscription RUSSIAN, and along the right arc is BALLET. In the lower right is a floral ornament.
Obverse
On the left side, along the arc of the coin's edge, are the words "BOLSHOI THEATRE". Below is an image of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Underneath it, on the left, is the producer's (mint) mark "LMD", and on the right is the coin's year of mintage "1991". Below that are the letters "USSR" with a floral ornament to the left and right. Under the letters, on the left, are the chemical designation Au and the fineness "585" of the coin's metal. In the center is a line with pointed ends. On the right is the pure weight of the precious metal "1.555". Slightly lower is the coin's denomination "10". At the bottom, along the coin's edge, is the word "RUBLES".
