    In the central part, within a closed circular wreath, the French inscription 'DÉCIME' (meaning 'one decime') at the top. Below it, the date in the Revolutionary calendar 'L’AN 4.' corresponding to 1795. At the bottom, the symbol 'A' -- the mint mark for the Paris Mint.
  • Obverse
    Decorative raised dots along the rim. Inscriptions along the edge in French: 'REPUBLIQUE' on the left, 'FRANÇAISE' on the right, translating to 'French Republic'. In the central part, a left-facing profile of Marianne. Below it, the signature of engraver Augustin Dupré, to the right of which is a raised element in the shape of a star.
