Reverse
In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of the territory of Ukraine, composed of pages from a tear-off calendar. On two pages are inscriptions in Ukrainian: «22 червня 1941» and «28 жовтня 1944», translated as «22 June 1941» and «28 October 1944». To the right, partially overlapping the country's territory, are two women in national costumes: one stands upright, holding a sheaf of ears of grain in her left hand, her right hand resting on the shoulder of the other woman; the second woman has her head bowed, resting it on her left hand, a handkerchief clutched in her lowered right hand. Below the territory of Ukraine is a four-line inscription in Ukrainian: «ВИЗВОЛЕННЯ УКРАЇНИ ВIД ФАШИСТСЬКИХ ЗАГРАБНИКIВ», translated as «Liberation of Ukraine from the Fascist Invaders». Above Ukraine is a festive fireworks display, below it are falling fragments.
Obverse
In the central part is depicted a sheet of paper with an inscription in Ukrainian: «Я єсть народ, якого Правди сила ніким звойована ще не була. Яка біда мене, яка чума косила! – а сила знову розцвіла… Павло ТИЧИНА», which translates to: «I am the people, whose Truth's strength has never yet been conquered by anyone. Whatever misfortune befell me, whatever plague mowed me down! - yet the strength has blossomed again... Pavlo Tychyna». To the right of the inscription, against the background of the sheet, is a bouquet of two carnations, three ears of grain, and a color image of a poppy. To the left of the sheet is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint. Above the sheet is the Coat of Arms of Ukraine and a three-line inscription in Ukrainian: the country name «УКРАЇНА», «5 ГРИВЕНЬ» - 5 hryvnias, and the year of mintage 2014.
