Reverse
In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a fragment of a man's suit with eight awards from the Great Patriotic War period under the lapel and, partially overlapping the image, a five-line inscription in Ukrainian: «60 рокiв визволення Украïни вiд фашистских загарбникiв», which translates to: «60 years of the liberation of Ukraine from the fascist invaders».
Obverse
In the central part is the numeral «1», above it the country name in Ukrainian: «УКРАЇНА». Above the country name is the Coat of Arms of Ukraine. Below the numeral is a semicircular inscription in Ukrainian: «ГРИВНЯ» - 1 hryvnia. The edge of the coin features a pattern executed in national traditions. On the right side of the pattern is the mintmark of the Kyiv Mint, at the bottom - the year of issue 2004.
