    In the central part, against the background of a map of military operations, is a waist-up portrait of Sydir Kovpak facing forward, wearing a military uniform with medals and a papakha hat. To his left are the years of his life in two lines: 1887-1967. Along the left and upper edge of the coin is his name in Ukrainian: «SYDIR KOVPAK».
  • Obverse
    The field is divided by a vertical line into two unequal segments. In the central part of the left segment are two Gold Star medals (Hero of the Soviet Union), with a laurel branch to their left. Above them is the Coat of Arms of Ukraine and a two-line inscription in Ukrainian: «NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE». Below the stars is the inscription: «DVI HRYVNI» - 2 Hryvnias. Beneath it are the Kyiv Mint mark and the year of issue, 2012. The right segment features a fragment of the cover of Sydir Kovpak's book «From Putyvl to the Carpathians» with the author's autograph.
